Since we sold our condo, we’ve been squatting in my in-law’s basement in Colorado.
It’s private and has everything we need, and Lilly seems to really like it here. Colorado is a really great place to be. We lived here years ago, before we got married, in the cutest little 50s apartment. The bathroom was tiled completely in green, original hardwood floors, the most charming place. Looking back, I never seem to remember the fact that it had no air conditioning, no designated parking spot, and awful cell phone reception. (These were the pre-Instagram days, so it wasn’t that big of a deal.)
While we’re here, I plan on going back to that little apartment and seeing if I sweet talk the new renters into letting me inside. I’m also going to gorge at all my favorite restaurants (Steuben’s, Zengo, Benny’s, Linger), shop my way through Cherry Creek (Free People, Calypso St. Barth, BCBG, Jonathan Adler, several Starbucks), and take Lil to my favorite park (Alamo Placita).
I’m really grateful for the chance to spend time here with our friends and family. And I’m also grateful for adequate time to outfit plan and get my $3.99 worth out of the StyleBook app.
