Jer and I both share a love of the amazing British band Mumford & Sons.
So when we found out (last minute!) that they were playing in Leeds one of the first days we were in town, it was a dream come true. We got our hands on some of the last tickets!
We showed up at 7:30 and took our seats to watch the fantastically talented Jack Garratt open. He’s a one man band, playing 14 different instruments on stage at one time. Apparently, they’re calling him Britain’s Next Big Thing. After 45 minutes or so, Jack introed Mumford and things really took off!
They played some of our favorites, Awake My Soul for me and Little Lion Man for Jer. They also played The Cave, which I hadn’t heard in awhile, and the crowd went ballistic.
Overall, the show was great (of course), and it was really cool to see our favorite band in their home country!
