Provence is my favorite part of France, but only beating out the Riveria by a nose. The reason it squeaks ahead is based solely on the quiet that surrounds you out here.
We stayed on a vineyard just outside Pontevès, called Chateau La Calisse, who produce the most beautiful wines. Of course I’m doing all my judging by smell and how pink they are in the bottle since I don’t drink, but trust my judgement!
My most favorite part of the house was the pool that overlooked the vines and roses. I also loved all the plant life around, orchards and vines and olive groves. Luckily, we got gifted nearly perfect weather in which to enjoy the outdoors.
