A few months back, I saw a post on Condé Nast Traveler’s Instagram. It was a photo of a little town in France called Bormes-les-Mimosas, a town that has been awarded a gold medal by the Entente Florale (the Flowery Alliance of Europe). Obviously, if you know me at all, you’ll know I was absolutely insistent on visiting and seeing the award winning flowers for myself.
Well, I was blown away. As a flower lover, and a flower chaser, I walked around with my mouth hanging open. This little town is incredible, I could have stayed forever! (The very last photo you’ll see below is a house with one full side completely covered in bougainvillea. I almost started crying when I saw it, my literal dream house!)
