We made a mini pit-stop in Barcelona last week, which was fantastic, because the heat wave had finally broken and it was perfect weather. Perfect for eating fresh, warm churros with coffee, puppy-watching in the Parc de la Ciutadella, reading under swaying palm trees, and shopping for tiled pottery at the market.
They’re doing restoration work on the Nature Square in Park Güell so it was a bit of less exciting visit than last time, but the tile work is stunning regardless. Oddly, it wasn’t as busy as in November, but there was still a line of people waiting for their turn to photograph the tile lizard! (The hubbub over the tile lizard always makes me laugh – it’s so small in comparison to the work in Nature Square!)
