I’m not a city person anymore. I used to be, years ago I wanted to live in NYC and disappear into the crowd. I didn’t end up ever moving to NYC, and although I’m sure I would have loved it then, the thought of living in a large city now holds no thrill for me.
HOWEVER. Those thoughts were tested when I got to Porto. While not NYC size, Porto is the second largest city in Portugal, and I loved it. Like, looooved.
When we decided to go to Porto, I was most excited for the tiles, called azulejos, in particular the blue and white ones! They were all over the city, around every corner. But I thought the best and most wonderful place to see them was São Bento train station, followed very closely by the Chapel of Souls. It’s incredible!
